Description Correspondence from Swan Brothers, Kirkcaldy regarding the damage to the side of the Turnpike Road adjoining Kinghorn Loch. 1882. The writer informs Mr Dow that as the Road Trustees insist on obtaining an undertaking from the Council for the immediate repair of the road and the relief of the Trustees from all risk for damages until the repairs are completed, we shall, on the Burgh granting such an undertaking, relieve the burgh with one half of the expenses they may be put to on account of the repair. dated 3 July, 1882 Mr Swan writes with reference to the action for damages against the Burgh at the instance of Burntisland Oil Company over the water level of the loch will be defended. dated 9 October, 1882. 2 documents
